Nothing can be better than spending your days in the peace and quiet of Dorset where the weather and countryside can do wonders for your health.
Some of the most modern and luxurious care homes available are now being opened by Gracewell Healthcare around the country, one of which will be Highclere House in the beautiful Dorset town of Weymouth. The quality of workmanship in these homes is second to none and needs to be seen first hand to really be appreciated.
The name for the care home Highclere House was chosen by a pupil at the local Holy Trinity Church of England School situated opposite the home. The pupil discovered that there was a historical connection with a Highclere Court that was once a part of old Weymouth. The director of Gracewell Healthcare, Peter Curtis said: ‘we are very much looking forward to building a strong relationship with the Holy Trinity School and the wider community because we believe young and old can gain and learn so much from each other.’
The home has been built to very high standards and is going to be offering a very wide range of facilities from a New York style nail bar, a luxurious Spa and a high-class café with a high class Chef, which is all a part of the ‘village’ area. This area has been designed for the use of not only the residents but also the families and friends coming to visit.
Highclere House is proud of the seventy luxury bedrooms which all include en-suite bathrooms there are also four deluxe suites available on the first floor for those residents who still wish to retain a sense of independence. The occupants of the upper deluxe rooms will also have the benefit of a sea view which is well worth having and can only be a plus.
The seaside town of Weymouth recently hosted the Olympic sailing events and proved very popular with not only those visiting but also those taking part. Apart from the harbour there are also three miles of beaches and many outdoor and indoor activities some of which are rock climbing sailing and swimming.
If you suddenly feel the urge to travel further away but still wish to stay in Dorset, then you have plenty of choice, why not try out Dorchester the county town and very popular for people interested in local archaeology or if you have the grand children with you there is always the family friendly attractions including teddy bears and dinosaurs a very unusual mix but guaranteed to grab the attention.
This part of the country is a favourite holiday destination and is also very popular for people who are ready to retire and enjoy the rest of their lives in magnificent surroundings and being looked after in luxury. Highclere House is to open its doors in March 2013.
